Hello, everyone. I decided to turn this blog into a world building blog. I have always loved world building and I will post lore and stories, short stories for now, for a project called “The Dark Systems.” I’m still going to post Dark Town: Rancid, but I’m deciding to post updates on that story on Monday and Saturday. I’m posting the next chapter today.

Originally, I was going to make the dark systems into interactive fiction. But I think it wouldn’t make me go more in depth with the universe as much as I want to. The “Be Kind” story will be on hold, as I want everything I post is my best. So I apologize for this.

But if you’re curious about the dark systems. here’s the blurb:

“The world of Lum is a human world, also known as the holy realm, is filled with every day people living normal lives. Little do they know, their bodies and life blood is extremely valuable to beings who’s always watching in reflections. in mirrors especially. people say, mostly young children and teens, play a game called the “take me” game, where they make strange symbols on mirrors. and if you do it right, you’ll be taken to another world. never to be seen again.

The take me game began in the 80s, but became more frequent, once people forgotten the game and something strange happened. In the late 2010s, the people came back, but much older. Not only that, different. The ones who returned looked like the missing people, but what people always described with meeting the returned, is meeting something uncanny. Not human. And ever since then, the disappearances all across the globe became frequent.

As people kept disappearing, people became desperate. They wanted it to stop. They were in the dark on what was going on. But within the darkness, there were others who have returned. But they kept their return hidden. It wasn’t safe. Not now. The people of Lum didn’t know what was going on. but the hidden knew. and they knew the returned were not people. They were… something else.”

I’ll post a short story based within this world later on tomorrow. And I’m not promising anything, but I plan to post world, race, class, and lore more frequent than the stories. and have drawings to be part of the worldbuilding process. Again, I’m sorry for bringing up “Be Kind” so early.
