Good morning, everyone. I want to talk about what is currently inspiring me to work on a book that I might post as a serialised book.

For a while I was working on a world building project that I figured out how to write after so many months. It was my story, “The Concepts.” Originally, It was supposed to be a fragment story because I thought it would help me be consistent in posting. It was fun for a while. But then I realised it had no clear direction. The characters were everywhere, the plot wasn’t what I wanted it to be, and I was slowly losing interest. It was frustrating.

I wanted to write a story that was complex and lore detailed like my favourite shows. Those shows are “Helluva Boss” and “Hazbin Hotel.” I honestly love the world building within these two shows and the Hellaverse entirely. At first I thought the concept was cool. But after watching the seasons of each show, I got hooked. The whole story was planned pretty damn well, if you ask me. And I can’t wait until the new season of Helluva Boss comes out, hopefully, this summer.

I kind of watched it on repeat for a while. Then I thought, why don’t I make my own world that’s just as detailed? Like a well thought out universe that has interesting, colourful characters. At first I was going to make a universe of monsters. But then I thought of monsters inc., so I thought never mind. Then I scrapped the idea for a while, trying to figure out a unique concept. Then the thought of, what would characters from my favourite shows or games would live if they didn’t live within their own worlds. Like a universe where all fictional characters lived normal, or somewhat, normal lives on a planet called Genre. Once I had the idea, I went to work. Im still trying to figure out how the different continents within Genre are designed. But I’m thinking about different stories and myths and urban legends from the states and Europe and Asia . And how they all differ from one another. 

My fragment idea was cool, but limiting,. So instead of writing vignettes of the characters lives. I thought why don’t I make an actual plot. And after two months of thinking about it, I figured it out. It’s still about characters living their lives. But more action based and mystery thriller. Im currently still filling in the gaps, but I’m close to what I think is an interesting story.

So that’s what I’m currently working on. I might post one or two chapters and give updates on how the progress is going. But I’ll try to share carefully without  giving any spoilers.
